If Elvis Aaron Presley, the original “King of Rock and Roll”, was alive today — and there are some “Suspicious Minds” who believe that he is — then he’d be celebrating his 75th birthday on Jan. 8.
But, “That’s All Right”. For fans around the world who just “Can’t Help Falling in Love” with Elvis each time they hear one of his hits, or watch one of those film clips that send girls swooning when he shakes those hips, the birthday celebrations will commence without that old “Hound Dog” in attendance.
So you as may as well “Surrender”, slip on your “Blue Suede Shoes”, and join one of these Elvis Presley 75th birthday.
Memphis
Ground zero for this year’s birthday celebrations is Graceland, in Memphis, Tenn., where live entertainment, special tours, performances, and events are scheduled to take place from Jan. 7-10.
On Jan. 8, during the free Elvis Presley Day Ceremony on the north lawn of Graceland, Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley will help cut a special birthday cake which will then be served with coffee at the Chrome Grille restaurant across the street from the mansion.
Can’t make it to Memphis? You can watch the Elvis Presley Day Ceremony live on Elvis.com.
Las Vegas
The history of Las Vegas and the legend of Elvis are inextricably linked. Dressed in a sequined white jumpsuit, and with dozens of back-up musicians, Presley headlined more than 800 shows at the International Hotel (now the Las Vegas Hilton) from 1969 through 1977.
Today, visitors to Las Vegas can buy Elvis memorabilia, see Elvis impersonators and tribute artists, and book an Elvis-themed wedding.
The newest Elvis-attraction is “Viva ELVIS”, a fresh Cirque de Soleil extravaganza that mixes dance, extreme acrobatics and circus arts with many of Presley’s hits. Currently in previews, the show officially opens on Feb. 19, at the new Aria Resort & Casino at City Center. Hard money training.

The best artist of all time for sure! After millions of records sold they are still killing all the new younger aged people in sales. Simply amazing.
Hi - very good website you have made. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to write a comment to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically delightful. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor for a marketing firm. I have always enjoyed functioning with computing machines and am attempting to learn code in my free time (which there is never enough of lol).
